Securities and Future Commission (SFC)
Rogers is the founding member of the SFC Fintech Contact Point, which is established to enhance communication with businesses involved in the development and application of financial technology in Hong Kong. He is also the ex-officio member of the SFC Fintech Advisory Group and the Future Task Force of the Insurance Industry of Hong Kong Insurance Authority. He is responsible for several Fintech and Regtech initiatives, including SFC Risk Data Strategy and Analytics, cybersecurity and cryptocurrency / blockchain study.
Rogers joined the SFC in 2012, before which he was the Associate Director (Executive Management) of Societe Generale and the Chief Of Staff of its private banking business in Asia Pacific. Previously, he was the Senior Risk Model Validation Manager of Bank of China (Hong Kong) and Vice President (Compliance) at the Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He also worked for the HKSAR government in the e-Police Division of the HKPF, JFIU and HKMA.
Rogers completed the Fintech Certificate course at the MIT and the executive program in Risk Management at Cambridge University. Rogers received his BBA (Information System Management) and MScIM (Risk Management) from the HKUST, MSc(Finance) from SOAS, University of London, LLM from University of Wolverhampton and MAcc from the CUHK.
